Welcome to our November Newsletter with all the latest goings-on at HCL!
At the point of writing we are still awaiting our CQC report or rating following the inspection that took place on 18 September. However, we should receive this very soon so watch this space for an update.
In the meantime, we have received our score for the Liverpool City Council inspection that took place earlier on in the year and are delighted to report that we achieved 84 out of a possible 88, so well done to all the team on an excellent achievement.
End of Life Contract
We commence the new End of Life Contract on 13 November and have our team ready to commence care under this. The team consists of staff who are transferring from the ‘Help to Live at Home Contract’ together with some staff who are new to HCL.
As with social care, it is sometimes difficult to be precise about what hours are required but all staff working on this contract are willing to be flexible, work between contracts and prepared to support all HCL Service Users whilst we gain more clarity on the hours that we are being allocated.
This contract is a positive step for HCL and going forward it will provide more opportunities for personal development across our work force.
Rapid Response Winter Block Hours Contract
As part of their winter planning, Liverpool City Council have invited Care Providers to apply to deliver a rapid response winter pressure service. The Council are offering guaranteed hours to Providers to operate this contract and pick up are packages in a timely manner therefore freeing up hospital beds. We are very pleased to have beeb recently been informed that we have been successful our bid and HCL will now focus on planning for successful delivery of this contract.
Following completion of induction, observations in the workplace and their Care Certificate Workbook, the following staff have achieved their Care Certificate:
Marissa Braithwaite, Melissa Mc Donald, John Leigh, Jean Atkins, Chelsie Preston, Olivia Roden, Elisha Landry, Ellie Longman, Craig hadwin, Paula McGovern and Drew Preedy.
A big Well Done to you all.
