Job Role in Brief

Reports to: Operations Manager

Responsible for: Care Training Officer

To undertake the role of Care Training Manager, to ensure that all HCL staff have the required skills, knowledge and experience to deliver services to a high standard, ensuring that training provision meets current CQC Regulatory requirements and specific requirements with commissioned contracts.

  • Devise and develop a detailed annual training plan, which takes account of a range of training needs across all levels of staff within the business, ensuring that objectives are SMART, fully costed, agreed, and signed off by the senior management team.
  • Coordinate the delivery of the annual training plan to ensure that training KPI’s and individual training needs for staff are met.
  • Source external training providers as appropriate to support the delivery of the annual training plan, ensuring a broad range of quality provision is available, to deliver elements of the training plan that cannot be met using internal resources.
  • Facilitate internal training in accordance with the annual training plan on key subject areas related to your key skills, knowledge and experience in adult social care to deliver training competently and to a high standard.
  • Ensure all training is effectively evaluated to understand what works, what doesn’t and where changes in either approach or provider may need to be made.
  • Design and develop robust systems to monitor and evaluate both internal and external training to enable HCL to understand the impact and effectiveness of training for staff.
  • Ensure a wide range of training mediums are available to ensure that HCL training is accessible for all staff to meet a wide range of training needs, for example, classroom-based, online, peer to peer and self- learning opportunities.
  • Ensure staff training records are accurately maintained to ensure compliance with CQC regulations and requirements.
  • Have previous experience of delivering Training
  • Minimum of a Level 3 Award in Education and Training or above
  • Knowledge of CQC standards and regulations.
  • Driver with access to a vehicle.
