Care of Stroke
HCL commissions on going training with Wirral Met College to deliver specialist training. A registered Nurse delivers the training to core staff to develop their knowledge and expertise of care and rehabilitation of service users who have suffered a stroke.
Dementia
In response to the changes in demography and the expected increase in dementia it is our strategy to train all existing staff in care of Dementia.

Care of Neurological conditions
HCL has invested in specialist training to raise awareness of neurological conditions such as Multiple sclerosis and motor neurone disease. The company has a senior team of staff experienced in delivering care to service users with neurological conditions.
Spinal Injury
In response to service users needs
HCL has invested in training for care support staff in care of spinal injuries. Training includes basic care, pressure area care, bladder control, bowel control, recognition of neurogenic shock.
